GEO & AEO Agency in Paris

Matriochka Influences is a GEO and AEO agency based in Paris. We help brands appear, get recommended and control their image in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI responses. 47% of French consumers use AI to discover new brands (Censuswide, 2025). We make sure yours is among them.

Our Matr·IA·chka offering covers the full cycle: AI visibility audit, strategy, LLM-optimized content production, activation across the six sources AI models consult, and continuous reputation monitoring.

What are GEO and AEO?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) refers to the techniques that make a brand appear in AI-generated responses: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) covers a similar scope: optimizing a brand's presence in answer engines, whether conversational (ChatGPT, Claude) or integrated into search results (Google AI Mode).

⮕ Traditional SEO optimizes ranking within a list of links. GEO and AEO optimize citation within a response written by an AI.

⮕ The two disciplines complement each other, but the levers differ: SEO relies on backlinks and technical signals; GEO relies on editorial authority, content structure and presence in the sources that LLMs consult.

Why brands need a GEO/AEO agency

The numbers are clear. 31% of French consumers now use LLMs for purchasing decisions, up 46% compared to 2024. 42% say they plan to adopt them for future purchases (Censuswide, 2025).

AI responses are not neutral. When a user asks ChatGPT "what is the best DIY brand?", the AI names specific brands. It excludes others. A brand absent from these responses loses a decisive touchpoint in the purchase journey.

The problem: most brands have no strategy to influence what AI says about them. Product pages, corporate websites and paid campaigns do not feed LLMs. These models draw from specific sources: high-authority media (Le Monde, Les Echos, Le Figaro, AFP...), social networks (YouTube, LinkedIn, X), collaborative platforms (Wikipedia, Reddit, specialized forums) and podcasts.

The five sources LLMs consult

To appear in AI responses, a brand needs to exist where the models look for information. We have identified six key sources:

Authority media

National, business and trade press articles form the credibility backbone of LLMs. An article in a major publication carries more weight in an AI response than a corporate page.

Social networks

YouTube, LinkedIn and X feed models with fresh content and expertise signals. A well-structured YouTube video, a LinkedIn post from an executive, or a viral discussion on X get picked up by LLMs and shape their answers.

Podcasts

Podcast transcripts are indexed by AI engines. Placing a spokesperson on a leading podcast creates a lasting source that LLMs draw from.

Communities and forums

Reddit, Quora and industry forums are key sources for LLMs, especially for opinion and comparison queries. A structured presence in these spaces shapes AI recommendations.

Knowledge bases. Wikipedia remains the primary factual source for LLMs. An up-to-date, well-sourced Wikipedia entry changes how AI presents a brand, a product or an executive.

Our approach: audit first, then activate

Our method follows two phases. First, we audit to understand where you stand. Then, we activate the levers that match your situation.

#1- The AI visibility audit

We start with a comprehensive mapping of your presence across LLMs. For each strategic prompt in your category (the questions your prospects ask AI), we measure: is your brand cited? In what position? With what message? On which platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overview, Google AI Mode)?

We identify the priority prompt clusters for your industry, rank them by search volume and growth potential, and analyze the sources LLMs use to answer. This work produces a quantified baseline and a gap map: the prompts where you should appear but don't, and the sources where you need to exist to get cited.

#2- Activation across five channels

Once the gaps are identified, we produce and activate content across the six sources LLMs consult. The mix varies based on your brand, your industry and the audit results.

⮕ Press and authority media. We design press tools structured for AI capture (Q&A format, sourced data, named quotes) and pitch them to relevant national, business and trade media. Press releases, alerts, op-eds, press kits: every format is optimized for LLM citability.

⮕ Social media and thought leadership. We create LinkedIn content for your executives and experts, YouTube scripts, X posts. These position your spokespersons as authority voices on the topics AI models cover. LLMs capture these expertise signals.

⮕ Podcasts. We identify the leading podcasts in your category, pitch your spokespersons and prepare talking points. Podcast transcripts are indexed by LLMs and create lasting sources.

⮕ Communities (Reddit, forums). We monitor Reddit, Quora and industry forums in your category. We participate in conversations, provide expert and factual answers, and build a presence that shapes AI recommendations on opinion and comparison queries.

⮕ Wikipedia and knowledge bases. We create or update Wikipedia entries for your brand, products and executives, following the platform's editorial guidelines. Wikipedia is the primary factual source for LLMs.

Why choose Matriochka Influences as your GEO/AEO agency

→ Matriochka Influences is an independent agency founded in 2014 in Paris, specializing in influencer marketing, public relations and social media. We serve 40 active clients among the world's leading groups and brands, with an annual retention rate of 90%.

→ We added GEO and AEO to our expertise because it is the natural evolution of our profession. Twelve years of experience in PR, influencer marketing and social media give us the journalist network, the creator network, the storytelling expertise and editorial production capacity across every channel. The AI stack we built gives us measurement, optimization and data-driven management.

→ Technical SEO/GEO agencies understand algorithms but do not produce the content LLMs cite. PR and influence agencies earn that content but do not measure its impact on AI visibility. We unite both capabilities in an integrated offering. Read more about Matr·IA·chka, our AI visibility offering.

How to get started

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a GEO agency?
A GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) agency helps brands appear in AI-generated responses: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity. It audits the brand's presence across LLMs, identifies the strategic prompts where the brand is absent, and activates the levers to position it there: authority media, social networks, podcasts, communities, influencer content, Wikipedia.

How to appear in ChatGPT responses?
LLMs like ChatGPT do not only cite product pages or corporate websites. They draw from high-authority media, social networks, podcasts, forums and knowledge bases like Wikipedia. To appear in their responses, a brand must exist in these sources with structured content, sourced data and expert quotes. An AI visibility audit identifies the prompts where the brand is absent and the sources to activate.

How long does it take to see GEO/AEO results?
The AI visibility audit takes two weeks. First results appear between two and four months after activation begins, depending on the industry and starting point. LLMs update their sources regularly but not instantly: an article published today may take several weeks to influence responses. This is why we recommend 6-to-12-month engagements to achieve lasting impact.

What types of brands need GEO/AEO?
Any brand whose customers or prospects use AI to research, compare or purchase. In 2025, 31% of French consumers use LLMs for purchasing decisions and 42% plan to do so (Censuswide, 2025). The most exposed industries are those where comparison and recommendation queries are frequent: FMCG, beauty, tech, automotive, real estate, B2B services, travel...
