Challenge

To mark the 10th anniversary of podcasts launching on the platform, Spotify France wanted to establish podcasts as a major pillar of culture and entertainment in France, celebrating the audio and video creators shaping today's conversations. The challenge entrusted to our Paris event and influence agency: designing from scratch the very first podcast awards ceremony in France, worthy of the format's cultural influence and capable of uniting the podcast ecosystem, the media, communities and the general public around a foundational brand event.


Concept & Stratégie

As a Paris-based event production and PR agency, we conceived and produced the very first edition of the Spotify Podcast Awards in France: an immersive live show designed from A to Z to give the French podcast scene a ceremony worthy of its cultural reach. Matriochka led the entire project, from creative concept to executive production, including logistics, host and presenter management, and the full PR and influence strategy surrounding the event.
We created a structured a 360° activation around three key moments based on our next-gen method. Ahead of the show, an in-app voting mechanic deployed directly on Spotify mobilised communities around 11 categories and 55 nominated podcasts, generating over 750,000 votes and establishing the ceremony as a must-attend moment long before the big day. In parallel, a coordinated influence and PR activation engaged creators, journalists and cultural media to build strong editorial momentum. On the night, at the legendary Grand Rex, 800 guests experienced an evening hosted by Pablo Mira, featuring live performances including Camélia Jordana, 20 presenters on stage and 11 winners celebrated in front of their communities.
This first edition was conceived not as a simple awards ceremony, but as a genuine cultural moment: immersive, popular and firmly anchored in the reality of a format now central to entertainment. A programme that reflects our positioning as a Paris PR, influence and event agency, a pioneer of the integrated approach since 2014, capable of orchestrating national-scale brand events combining creative production, influencer activation and media coverage.
